If you buy loose leaf tea you get a better grade of tea than the 'dust' that's sold in teabags. I'm mostly a coffee drinker but when I'm drinking tea I use a 'tea ball' that lets me steep in a mug just like with a tea bag. There are plenty of gadgets for those of us who want some tea but not the teabag.
