You seem to have misapprehended who invaded who - and who has been killing Ukrainians. Also, if the Russians simply stopped on their current lines (and it seems that more massacres like in Bucha are fine with you - because peace) there'd then be some kind of treaty. But you can only have a treaty with someone you can believe might keep to what they've agreed. Do you see the Russians as that kind of partner? I don't - and much more importantly, the Ukrainians don't either.
