I'd hesitate to use the Aus price as what it might sell for here in the US. At a minimum, it needs to be accepted for NHTSA safety standards. I went through this in the early 80s, helping my dad import a Dino from Italy. There were EPA barriers as well, but those probably don't apply here - and we weren't in CA or it probably would have been impossible (CARB).

Looking at the NHTSA regs today, it looks like you can only import a vehicle for "Show and Display", not for actual use; I'm not sure USians can actually do that anymore.
