I otherwise agree with you, but if you look at the photos from that that photo op (the one where he had peaceful protesters teargassed to get them to move), you’ll note that, although he’s holding the bible unlike anybody who cares about what’s written inside (IMO like a schoolkid showing off an award he won), it is NOT upside-down. If you watch a video, you can see that he’s checking that it’s upright. The man’s all sorts of horrible things, but he is a showman, so he’s unlikely to get a visual like this wrong.

So… could we all please stop repeating something that’s wrong? Otherwise, we’ve fallen into the same trap the Trumpies have: believing something because we want it to be true.
