For folks who haven't been tracking, one of the 'hallmarks' of aging is the nucleus wall becoming more porous. These researchers have used automated microscopy to find compounds that might reverse this without causing cells to become cancerous. Also, what seems to be a new way of measuring porosity of the nuclear membrane.
Major news to me: eukaryotic cells (that's us) seem to have a 'backup copy' of epigenetic information. That's a BIG deal.
