I hope the collapse of the RF goes better for the people than the collapse of the USSR did.

Russia has lots of problems, not least the population collapse ongoing since Stalin. So not only not enough young people to draft for armed service, but not enough working to support pensioners who are too old to work. Last time they starved. Back then, I tried to put together an 'adopt a grandmother' (like 'adopt a child'). I never got it off the ground - but grandmothers going hungry really bothered me. I'm hoping it won't happen again, but it probably will. :-(
