I heard a clip of DA Willis answering questions. One of her comments was 'these charges are not probatable'. which says to me (as a non lawyer) that a guilty verdict means time confined.
Any actual lawyers out there care to correct me on this?
[edit] I ran across the clip again (longer clip, more in context). It seems she’d said parole-able, and further clarified that there was a mandatory 5 year minimum for anyone proven guilty. Sorry for any confusion I might have caused. [/edit]
