BTW, I found a lot of journalists I'd been following on Bird on Mastodon in a list maintained by @tchambers@indieweb.social. There’s a submission link at the top.

As someone who’s migrated to Mastodon somewhat recently, I’d intended to fire up an instance on a box in my basement, decided that creating an account on one of the smaller instances might be the way to figure out how things work. From that, it seems like the best place for someone with interests in science would be one of the instances with ‘science’ in the name. Just watch the posts scroll by in the ‘local’ feed — and there’s plenty to follow.
