I confess to being somewhat mystified over the 'mystical healing' properties. I had one neighbor (you probably know the type) who went on about it when she saw it on my kitchen table.

For me, it's more a matter of liking the taste (along with sel gris) - and it has the benefit of being from sea salt deposited tens of millions of years before microplastics were a thing.

Looking at a 2lb bag of coarse in the pantry with a $4 tag on it makes it loads cheaper than sel gris (which being mined not evaporated also likely has some unwanted stuff)
