From having also read a number of posts I gather that Nadin is originally from Mexico but now lives in San Diego CA. I've seen nothing either way about American citizenship, but I would guess yes.

BTW/FWIW, I have a number of friends who left the USSR because they were Jewish. All the ones I've asked told me they were from Ukraine. I'd guess that a number of those emigrees ended up in Mexico as well as the US and Israel.
