For multiple decades (38–63), my pattern was, eat from late lunch time to bedtime, get up, skip breakfast, postpone lunch, hit the pool for 2mi, head home - and start eating whatever I wanted.

I was in the best shape ever. Pretty much zero body fat. I could easily sit on the bottom of the pool with full lungs.

I think what was going on was that I was exercising with what was probably low blood insulin and low blood sugar. Took me a while to figure out that what I was doing might constitute intermittent fasting.

This is just 'anecdata' but it might provide an idea for a researcher to investigate (e.g. exercise timed for low insulin).
