For those unaware, 'stochastic' is science-speak for 'random' or 'controlled by random process(es)'. There are multiple processes contributing to the AMOC's continuing presence (notably salinity - one of the reasons folks were getting nerved out about the possibility of the ice sheet on Greenland melting). I've mostly seen stochastic calculation used to determine how small a species' polulation can become before it's likely to become extinct - but there's no reason it can't apply here.
If you live in Europe, particularly an Atlantic bordering state, grab a globe, follow the latitude line you're on around to the Pacific shore of North America. That's the climate for your latitude minus the AMOC.
