Far from Funes; almost a polar opposite. It turns out I'm aphantasic, so I'm pretty lacking in the remembering things I've seen (or visualizing things, which is what 'aphantasic' means). It hasn't been a handicap as it's pushed me to understand how things work and remember *that*. I understand it's similar with other people with the condition.
Oddly enough, I didn't even know aphantasia was a 'thing' until I read about the condition here on Medium. Consider the classic problem of 'how do I know that what I see as the color red is the same as everyone else?'. For me, it was 'how do I know that people can actually 'see' things in their heads?'.
