Excellent summary!

For anyone worried that "Warp Speed" means "developed too fast": I started seeing reference to potential mRNA vaccine tech back in 95 or 96 in various journals (not a biotech guy, but had friends who were and I was trying to keep up). The tech was ready well before Covid19 appeared - it was just a matter of synthesizing the RNA to be packaged up.

If you're wondering why this tech wasn't used to replace other vaccines, well, safety / efficacy studies with tens of thousands of participants aren't cheap, and vaccines are typically a low-profit item. On top of that, how do you find tens of thousands of unvaccinated participants so you can determine efficacy? And how do you deal with the ethical issues involved with leaving your controls unvaccinated - when there's already a known-working vaccine?
