Every time you hear about someone committing suicide by jumping in front of a train, spare a moment to think of the engineer on that train, and how they must feel after having killed someone.

Sorry, but that's exactly where my mind went when I saw the title to your story.

The closest I ever can to this was having a woman leap in front of the service truck I was driving. I managed to stop in time - but only just. Cop said "yeah, she's tried this a couple of times...". I had the shakes for the rest of the day - and I think of the train engineer whenever I hear about a train 'accident'.
