Maybe add in the high winds we've been having, so drought+heat+gusting over 15mph-flames.

Whan I was in college I was a volunteer auxiliary in the local fire department (classroom buildings were literally a stone's throw from the station). I mostly dug fire lines, but if there was significant gusting those lines meant nearly nothing to a brush fire.
