Do you have a link to a map of which areas in the RF are which peoples?

I have the one below, but it's just oblasts, and other organizational units. I'd expect any split to be along the lines between peoples - and it's not clear that the map reflects that (and Stalin was famous for drawing lines that would make it difficult for a single people to rise up).
