I’ve found the best way to remove water from my ears is a few drops of 90% isopropyl alcohol, then just tilt my head so the ear canal points downward. the water and alcohol run out, and any remaining alcohol dries quickly.

I’m not a physicist, but I’d guess that the water runs out because the alcohol is reducing surface tension.
