Came here to mention exactly this. NATO has 'simplified' fuel systems to diesel only. The major difference between diesel and jet fuel (and for that matter, number one heating oil /kerosine) is that diesel has cetane booster, jet fuel is particularly well filtered, but well filtered fuel oil that has cetane booster works perfectly in either kind of power plant. Simplifying to a single fuel type makes logistics easier. On top of that, oil vapor is less explosive than gasoline vapor.
Finally, the M1 turbine can use diesel, jet fuel OR gasoline (albeit at shorter maintenance intervals).
