One of the Republican representatives who is not part of that group has dubbed them the "Knucklehead Caucus". I'm going to go with that.
My first encounter with the "Tea Party" was in the 80s. The folks I talked with had no idea what the Boston tea party had been - in spite of this encounter happening in Concord, Mass - a primary site for what happened shortly after that 'party'. I was a bit surprised (hey, first contact), thought everyone local had soaked up some of what was local history. The notion of MAGAts being "low information' rings very, very true.
