Looking at the map, surrounding Kherson, particularly sealing it off from the Dnieper looks challenging.
That said, it's going to be very difficult to get the world to treat destroying a dam, with the subsequent flooding of Kherson and elimination of water supply to Crimea the same way it would to the use of a nuke.
BTW, that photo at the top. Those look to be Mosin M91/30s. No idea how old. That rifle's been in the Russian army since before the Revolution. Helmet looks to be Cold War era Soviet. Not sure the Sovs had camo that pattern (so maybe not dating back to ‘90).
Aaages ago, I bought some Swedish mil surplus woolen socks. Cheap because they were WWII era. They were really nice the first day I wore them. Good quality wool. They dissolved on the second wear. Gotta wonder if the same is happening for the guys in the photo.
