At the time, I took it to mean: "guys are idiots, takes a gaping wound to bring them in - women have better sense" - and only realized that it meant that a woman with the same complaint *might* not be treated the same way after I'd been discharged.

I haven't had an episode for about a decade. I might have grown out of them(?) If that's so, I wish the same future for you. :-)
