Not criticizing, but I think you're missing how large a place the Battle of Britain plays in the American view of what happened in WWII as that was probably just a footnote in Russian/Soviet education on the Great Patriotic War. No fault there. But - and here's the thing - there are now so many parallels between Putin's wanton destruction of schools, hospitals, and power plants and Hitler's terror bombing campaign that the US is guaranteed to keep sending resources to Ukraine. Zelensky acting a bit Churchillian doesn't hurt, either.
