Any notion if freezing before cooking would kill tapeworm eggs? My BIL at one point managed the Seattle Acquarium (very cool place to get a 'behind the scenes' tour) and he mentioned that although the fish being fed to the species in the tanks were raw, they *had* been previously frozen, which dealt with the threat of parasites. Fish parasites and pork/beef parasites are not the same, and I haven't read of freezing as a potential safety measure there...
