Agreed. We have a couple of lakeside camps that we AirBnB to offset taxes. They're not 4-season habitable (just re-did the flooring on one, had to pick the flooring that could withstand twenty below zero 'cause that's what happens indoors in the winter), not to mention useless to someone without their own vehicle. Nice area, though and those exorbitant taxes do support the educational system and affordable housing in the town it's nominally in - which provides us with pretty much nothing in the way of basic services.
