Agreed that it's a rabbit hole - but one I find fascinating. So much new stuff coming out. I'm coming from a different (but technical) field, working on getting the background as I need it (organic chem's going kind of slow). I'm more driven by curiosity and learning than anything. I've been responding to articles in order to use something I figured out as an undergrad - teach people to understand something yourself. (what's now known as the 'Feinman Method').

I don't recommend that anyone dive in unless it's for curiosity as, yeah, I don't think there's a need.

Also: don't start me on magnesium. :-)
