Agreed that it exposes the SC as a simply political organization - which needs reform.

As far as converting women into second class citizens, they have the vote - and national consensus seems to have moved to rare, legal, safe - so it's not just women who will be motivated to vote.

The Republican party has been spectacularly successful in packing the court with reliably conservative judges, I've been expecting a decision like this, but after the midterms. This leak is absolutely a gift to the Democrats.

I would guess that whoever leaked it was of the opinion that it was important enough that it should become public shortly before an election - not two years away, which might be enough time for the R culture warriors to spin it away.

Side note: whoa, hey - the Response Editor team got italics working again. It's still pretty terrible for more than a single line response, which tells me that that's what the Medium design team wants, but getting italics working again is pretty good. Maybe spell check next?
