Agreed on shopping alone. Going together turns a chore into a much larger chore. We don't agree on priorities and almost invariably we get separated, and one of us gets pissed off about having to track the other one down.
I use an app "ToMarket", which lets me track all the things I need to get with the aisle location on each - which makes it possible to get pretty much everything in a single (albeit serpentine) pass. If my wife wants something not on the list, I'll add it in, add the aisle locations(s) (one for each store I track) and she gets it.
Now, if I could just get her to be a little kinder with the couple of knives I regard as 'mine'. I've given up on carbon knives in the kitchen. Bright side: I've switched to a belt-style sharpening system. Sooo much faster than stones, and about as good an edge.
