Agreed — and saturated fat intake causes arteriosclerosis… in rabbits. (note rabbits don’t normally consume any SFAs — and I don’t imagine rodents normally consume HFCS).

Generalizing animal nutrition results to humans has a long history. Sometimes it even turns out to be an actual effect. Yes, you can’t use human subjects for this, but I’d be a bit more inclined to accept a cross-species generalization from a study on one of the species closer to humans in metabolism (e.g. pigs)
