Acceptance of Medicaid expansion in your 'new' state might matter. I'd look at whether that state has resisted Medicaid expansion. One thing that it does is help rural hospitals to stay in business. If you're considering a move to a rural area with just one hospital within reasonable driving range, you might want it to not have to close its doors.
