About 6 months ago I started Intermittent Fasting (16 hours from end of dinner to start of next meal) - mostly to trigger autophagy (clean up misfolded proteins, remove senescent cells - supposed to help prevent dementia) and cycle my fuel system between glucose-based and ketone-based (supposed to help keep T2DM away).

I continued to eat the same amount of food - just in a shorter time window (seems like I was chewing the whole time).

At my annual physical, my doc mentions I've lost 'about ten’ pounds.

This was completely unintentional. I've been slightly overweight, but not enough to matter.

If I was actually trying to lose weight, I'd probably try this first.

Any other IF folks out there?

As a side note, I suspect I was doing IF for years, just because I was waiting for a time slot at my pool that wasn't busy - and I wanted to start out on an empty stomach (wives' tales often have some truth to them). So I usually had 'breakfast' around 1-2PM.
