As I'm sure you're aware, there's a lot more to glucose tolerance than eating less and losing weight. I'd be very curious to learn what Lac-Phe might do for fat buildup in muscle cells. Elite athletes have triglycerides (fats) in those cells, where it appears to function as a reservoir of quickly available fuel. Insulin-responsive non-athletes do not (probably no need) and people with insulin resistance DO have it. Thanks to the nMRI work of Gerald Shulman we know that a variation of trigs (diglycerides) are what is causing insulin resistance in those cells. If Lac-Phe can clear that...(!)
